Cornerstone Club, a 4,800-acre private club community in Montrose, Colorado, is set to renovate its 18-hole course as part of a major expansion plan.
The course was originally designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design in 2007, but it closed in 2012. In 2018, a three-person consortium took over the property and brought in former Norman associate Matt Dusenberry to renovate the course.

Developer Reef Capital Partners is planning a renovation of the course, which will include new turfgrass, fairways, bunkers and cart paths. Hole twelve will be transformed into a short par four, while the par-four eighteenth will be lengthened into a par five that finishes in front of the club’s new bar and grill.
A new putting course will also be built, while Cornerstone’s practice facilities will be upgraded into a performance centre featuring indoor activities and a fitness centre outfitted with new training equipment.
“Cornerstone has always been more than a golf course, it’s a retreat, legacy and a way of life,” said Andy Deiro, general manager of Cornerstone Club. “We are excited to build on that foundation, enriching the experience while preserving the qualities that make this place truly exceptional.”
OD Vincent, vice president of golf operations at Reef Capital Partners, said: "Reef Capital Partners is honoured to guide Cornerstone Club into its next chapter. Our vision is to preserve everything our members love about this special community, while making thoughtful investments that enhance the experience for generations to come and strengthen its legacy as a truly year-round destination."
Construction on the golf course is scheduled to be complete in summer 2027.
