Mannings Heath Golf Club in Sussex, England, has completed a two year, £300,000 project to upgrade its facilities, including spending £110,000 rebuilding tees on the 100 year old Waterfall course.

Owner Exclusive Hotels brought in the Sports Turf Research Institute to advise on the project, which saw thirteen sets of tees rebuilt on the course, which dates back to 1905. The investment has been rewarded, as the course has been selected as the venue for the 2013 English Women’s Strokeplay championship.

General manager Steve Slinger said: “We have a distinctive 100 year old golf course which is originally thought to have been designed by the eminent architect Harry Colt. We were mindful therefore that we wanted the new tees to blend in with the historic layout.”
