Work has begun on the renovation of the Royal Golf El Jadida, which is owned by Madaëf/CDG and part of the Pullman Mazagan Hotel & Resort near El Jadida, Morocco.

JH Duncan, the firm led by longtime Coore & Crenshaw associate James Duncan, is leading the design work on the course, which was originally designed by Cabell Robinson. The firm previously led the renovation of the Red and Green Courses at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat.

In addition to trimming back non-indigenous eucalyptus trees, the works include the renovation of all greens, tees and bunkers, selectively adding drainage and irrigation, and generally bringing back the seaside feel of the course. The course is located adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean with views of the historic city of El Jadida.
