Taylor Morrison develops residential community in Georgia, which has an 18-hole layout as its centrepiece

Esplanade at St. Marys, a new 1,300-home community developed by Taylor Morrison on the Georgia-Florida border, has opened an 18-hole golf course designed by Chris Wilczynski.
This is Wilczynski’s sixth course for the developer, and follows his work on Esplanade at Rivergrass in Naples, Florida.
“Esplanade at St. Marys offers an unforgettable golf experience with stunning views of the natural beauty of the surrounding area,” said Mike Block, general manager at Esplanade at St. Marys. “With five teeing options ranging from 3,500 to 7,000 yards, this course is an incredible golf destination for players of all levels and a place for residents to connect while staying active and enjoying the outdoors.”

Wilczynski worked with engineering firm Atwell, landscape planners RVi and irrigation consultant Aqua Turf International to plan the project, with contractor Ryangolf handling construction.
The new course features coastal views, grass-faced bunkers and TifEagle greens varying in size from 5,100 to 8,300 square feet.

Facilities at St. Marys includes a wellness centre, spa and salon services, casual and upscale dining venues, tennis, pickleball and bocce courts, a pool and bar, and walking trails.
