Orchard Valley Golf Course in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, will reopen for public play on 5 September 2026 following a 22-month, $8.8 million renovation by architect Greg Martin and contractor Wadsworth Golf Construction Company.

The course was originally designed by Ken Kavanaugh and opened for play in 1993. It is owned by Fox Valley Park District and operated by Troon, with Martin hired to identify and advise on course repairs.

The renovation began in November 2024 and included refreshing and expanding selected greens; renovating, realigning, relocating and reconstructing bunkers; and expanding and resurfacing tee boxes. All tees, fairways and greens were regrassed with disease-resistant seed varieties. New retaining walls were created on the second and seventeenth, while a new fairway was constructed on the thirteenth. Selected cart paths were realigned and reconstructed, and a new state-of-the-art irrigation system was installed.

Orchard Valley is also now home to a new 194-seat restaurant, The Orchard Social, which has been designed to be “much more than a golfer’s clubhouse restaurant”. It features multiple indoor and outdoor dining areas, private event spaces, a full-service bar, an expanded patio with a fireplace and panoramic views of the championship course.
