Southworth Development has appointed specialist clubhouse architect Tom Hoch to provide interior design services for the planned clubhouse at its Creighton Farms course in Virginia.

Hoch’s plans for the three level, 32,000 sq ft clubhouse call for a ‘refined yet relaxed’ interior with an American vernacular architectural style,, which he says will echo the project’s pastoral setting in the rolling hills and valleys of northern Virginia.

“Tom Hoch has a proven track record of designing and building memorable spaces that are appropriate to the long-term visions of some of the finest properties in the US,” said Greg Sherwood, vice president of Southworth Golf Management.

The main level of the clubhouse features the Nicklaus Room, a celebration of the legendary golfer whose firm designed the Creighton Farms course, as well as a pub, grill room, golf shop, library and billiards room. The lower level includes locker rooms and lounges as well as a fitness centre. Ten club rooms occupy the upper level, providing overnight accommodations for members and guests. The clubhouse is scheduled to open in May 2011.
