The Piper, a new short course designed by Ken Baker, will open for limited public play at Legends Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on 2 October 2026.
The resort announced the opening date on 3 September 2026 while hosting the Myrtle Beach World Amateur tournament, which involved more than 3,000 competitors.
The Piper is located within the resort’s 30-acre practice facility and positioned near its 50,000-square-foot putting green and short game area. It is also situated near a lit-up grass range to enable evening play.
The par-three, nine-hole course, which spans 12 acres of land, can be played in three-hole loops with holes ranging from 54 to 120 yards. Players will pass food and drinks venues as they move around the course.
“We’ve watched this course come to life hole by hole over the last year and it’s exactly the experience that we set out to create for our guests and for the local community,” said Larry Woodberry, director of operations for Legends Golf Resort. “As so many players explore golf in Myrtle Beach this week, we’re excited to invite this community to be among the first to play The Piper this fall.”
The Piper is the first step in a multi-phase strategy to expand Legends Golf Resort’s golf and entertainment experiences.
