Quail Ridge Country Club, in Boynton Beach, Florida, has reopened its South course following a redesign by Bobby Weed Golf Design.

The project, which also included the practice area, began in April. There has been a reduction in turfed areas, which have been replaced with coquina-like concrete screenings and pine straw. Coquina boulder walls are now a feature at several green sites.

Weed and associate Joey Graziani lived on site for five months and personally crafted subtler green complexes. Clustered bunkering and open approaches have been created to offer a variety of shot making opportunities.

“Quail Ridge has an enthusiastic and active membership that loves golf,” said Weed. “The South course improvements provide a modern, contemporary finish that will keep the membership engaged for several decades.”
