The Country Club of Winter Haven has reopened following an extensive renovation of its 18-hole course.

Located outside Orlando, Florida, and managed by Billy Casper Golf, work began at the course earlier this summer, with architects Rees Jones and Bill Bergin leading the project.

The project included work on all the course’s bunkers, tee boxes, fairways and rough areas.

Significant work was also done on the course’s greens, with each being rebuilt to USGA standards and using champion bermudagrass.

Five new holes have been built and many have been moved or re-shaped.

New irrigation and drainage has been installed, new cart paths have been built, and the bridges on the course have been restored.

Extensive clubhouse renovations have also taken place.

Jones and Bergin will attend a re-opening ceremony at the club on 11 January 2014.
