Quintero Golf Club in Peoria, Arizona, has started work on a multi-million-dollar renovation project – the first significant update to its course since it opened in 2000.

The renovation, overseen by original architect Rees Jones and carried out by contractor Total Turf Golf Services, is expected to be completed by the end of September 2025, with the course scheduled to reopen in October.

The project includes rebuilding all 18 green complexes, regrassing putting surfaces with 007XL bentgrass, updating all 65 bunkers with new bunker liner, drainage and Augusta white sand, and levelling tees and resurfacing them with bermuda.

“We are so excited to have Rees Jones and Total Turf involved in this project with the primary focus on making Quintero Golf Club even better than before,” said Mike Poe, the club’s general manager.

Quintero’s practice facility will also be updated – practice tees will be levelled and resurfaced, and a new putting green is being built will feature the same bentgrass as the course’s greens.
