Six designers currently based in the country have formed the Scottish Association of Golf Course Architects.

The founding members, Malcolm Clapperton, Richard Le Sueur, Ronnie Lumsden, Andrew Soulsby, Graeme Tait and Sam Thomas say the new association intends to promote the highest standards of golf course architecture in the home of golf and highlight the role played by golf architects in the development of golf in Scotland.

At the first meeting the members discussed a wide range of subjects including the key objectives of the association and the how these can be achieved. Every member will have a role to play in contributing towards the key processes that underpin the Association’s philosophy for progress.
