The Scotts Company has reached an agreement with Beijing Clover that gives the seed distributor exclusive rights to market Scotts’ Sea Spray seeded seashore paspalum throughout China.

“Beijing Clover has a 15-year history of serving the Chinese seed markets, so this partnership with a trusted leader marks an important moment for Sea Spray,” explains Gordon Zielinski of Scotts. "Sea Spray has already been used on a number of courses in China and is perfect for the country’s geographic conditions, so we’re excited to increase its visibility and availability throughout China.”

Xiao Bu South Mountain Ecological Park in Hunan Province and Blue Ray Resort in Zhejiang Province are among the courses already using Sea Spray for tees, greens and fairways.

Sea Spray is well suited for areas irrigated with effluent water or subject to naturally high saline conditions. In addition the variety provides excellent drought tolerance, so irrigation rates can be reduced to save water.

In addition to Sea Spray, Beijing Clover also distributes Midnight II, Prosperity and Moonlight SLT on behalf of Scotts Professional Seed.
