Bent Creek in northeast Florida completes greens renovation

A greens renovation has recently been completed on the Bobby Weed-designed Bent Creek golf course in Jacksonville, Florida.

The project has seen greens returned to their original sizes, the drainage system updated, and work to improve the conditions, speeds and aesthetics of greens.

“Bent Creek has been a longstanding community fixture that has flown under the radar for too long,” said Chris Cygan, regional manager of Indigo Golf Partners. “The new putting greens will certainly allow Jacksonville’s best kept secret to be reborn.”

“By providing consistent greens, a high level of service and exciting programmes for all golfers, our local community will be proud of what we provide to everyone who visits,” said Dan Zimmer, vice president of operations for Indigo Golf Partners.

Bent Creek has also updated its practice facility, with new putting surfaces, a chipping area and range targets.
