Bunker renovation work continues at Country Club of Paducah

The Country Club of Paducah in Kentucky, USA, is undertaking a project to upgrade more of its bunkers to the Better Billy Bunker system.

Golf course contractor Green Tee Golf is assisting CC of Paducah’s golf course superintendent Larry Hantle and his team in work on eight bunkers, which follows the upgrading of seven bunkers in 2015-16.

The project will see the bunkers returned to the original shaping created by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. when the course was built in the late 1970s, with the occasional tweak for playability. Hantle explains: “We are following the uncovered edges. We have expanded one bunker about 6-10 feet wider to create a flatter floor and take out downhill bunker shots to an uphill green.”
