Els to design Namibian course

Ernie Els’s design firm has been appointed to design a new course as part of a large resort complex in Namibia. The southern African country currently has only six golf courses.

The Desert Star Motion Picture resort project aims to create a large studio complex along 34km of the Orange River in the far south east of the country. Namibia is already home to a substantial amount of movie production activity. Film production facilities and permanent sets are planned alongside a hotel, the golf course and fractional ownership villas.
