Fifth Annual Symposium on Affordable Golf to take place in California

The Fifth Annual Symposium on Affordable Golf will take place on 31 March and 1 April 2014 at the Dairy Creek Golf Course in San Luis Obispo, California.

Speakers at the event include Dick Rugge, the former technical director of the United States Golf Association. Also speaking will be Tim Morgahan, Bruce Williams, Ted Horton, and executive director of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, Rhett Evans.

This year’s event will be the first held on America’s west coast. The event will cover a range of California-related topics and in particular the most prominent matter in the state at the moment – water.

Topics related to water will include ‘Breaking Through the Noise: What Does the Golfer Gain From Equipment?’, ‘The Folly of Replicating Tournament Conditions’, and a case study of the University of New Mexico golf course approach to irrigation from Andy Staples of Staples Golf.

With an ongoing focus on the needs of the golfer, the Symposium on Affordable Golf is a free event. Visit the event’s website to register now.
