Plenty of entrants figured out Sandy’s location in our April issue – the home hole at Perry Maxwell’s Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. But then, given that Southern Hills has hosted seven Majors, including three US Opens, perhaps that shouldn’t be too surprising. Congratulations, then, go to Bill Palmer, South Carolina-based and the president of course owner Scratch Golf. A GCA shirt is making its way to the Lowcountry right now.
This time, our intrepid gopher is back on the links, his natural habitat. One of the very finest of links courses, in fact. Not, perhaps, the most visually spectacular, but stuffed full of magnificent holes and a venue with a long championship history. Know where it is?
