Huxley Golf installs new practice tee at Jumeirah Golf Estates

Huxley Golf has installed a new practice tee at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, UAE.

Measuring 148ft x 12ft, the tee was created using Huxley Premier Tee Turf, which was laid over an aggregate base. The surface’s high fibre density enables wood or iron shots to be played directly off it, and the tee accepts a peg anywhere to provide players with flexibility when practising.

The new tee area has been installed for use by all members and guests at Jumeirah Golf Estates, and is located by the driving range’s lower range tee.

Home to two courses designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design and the Middle East’s only European Tour Performance Institute, Jumeirah Golf Estates will host the European Tour Race to Dubai finale this November.

The resort has been developed using environmentally sound principles, and the new Huxley Golf installation supports these by helping to conserve water in difficult climate conditions.

“I am delighted with our new Huxley Golf Premier Tee at Jumeirah Golf Estates,” said Neal Graham, general manager of club operations at Jumeirah Golf Estates. “It is a fantastic surface to hit from and one that has been widely accepted and put into full use for evening practice to help rest the grass turf from over-use. ”
