The return of golf to the Olympics and changes at Turnberry among topics covered in latest edition
Golf will make a long-awaited return to the Olympic Games in 2016, as the best players in the world head to Rio to compete in the first Olympic golf tournament in 112 years. In the lead story in issue 45 of Golf Course Architecture, Adam Lawrence takes a look at what to expect from the tournament, Gil Hanse’s course design, and considers the importance of the event being a success for golf as a whole.
In the tee box section, we take a look at the new holes on the Ailsa course at Trump Turnberry, as well as looking at the latest work at Royal Portrush as it prepares for the Open Championship in 2019.
