LPGA International in Florida completes renovation project
LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, has completed renovation work on its two courses and practice facility.
The project began immediately after the $3.45 million acquisition of the facility by Fore Golf Partners in autumn 2019.
Bunkers on both layouts – one designed by Rees Jones in 1994 and the other by Arthur Hills in 1997 – have been restored to their original specifications, and new drainage has been installed. Sections of cart paths have been repaved and the member driving range has been resurfaced with TifTuf bermudagrass.
Fore Golf, led by Charles Staples, specialises in golf club turnarounds and currently owns 11 clubs in Florida and Maryland.
