May opening for PGA Sweden resort

The Links, the first of the two courses at the new PGA of Sweden National golf resort, located outside Malmö, is to open on 15 May.

The second eighteen, the Lakes course, is in the final stages of construction, and, architect Kyle Phillips told GCA, will be entirely grassed by early summer in preparation for its 2010 opening. A nine hole course is also under development.

An official opening ceremony will be held during June, which Swedish golfing legend Annika Sorenstam is expected to attend.
