Mike Dasher to lead renovation work at the Harmony Golf Preserve
Golf course architect Mike Dasher is to lead a renovation project at the Harmony Golf Preserve near St Cloud, Florida.
The course is scheduled to close on 9 May for work to get underway, with reopening planned for September 2016.
Included in Dasher’s plans are major bunker renovations, and the introduction of TifEagle bermudagrass on the course’s greens.
The golf course opened in 2002 and was designed by Frederick C. Bliss, who worked alongside Johnny Miller.
“We will be investing almost US$1 million in the Harmony Golf Preserve course,” said Bob Glantz, vice president of Starwood Land Ventures. “Many of the bunkers will be reconfigured, some of the greens will be redesigned and all of the greens will be renovated. Our new active adult community – The Lakes at Harmony – will welcome its first residents this summer and we want to have the course in excellent condition for the new residents and all of those who enjoy playing golf at Harmony.”
