Six-hole course to open as part of new Nicklaus academy in Hong Kong

A new six-hole golf course designed by Jim Wagner of Nicklaus Design is to open at the Hong Kong Golf and Tennis Academy (HKTGA) later this month.

The short game course will be one of a number of facilities to open as part of the new Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf at HKGTA.

A nine-hole putting green course, 75 hitting bays and three Jack Nicklaus Coaching Studios will also open.

“Hong Kong has great potential to be the next golfing hub of Asia,” said Billy Martin, director of golf at the new academy. “The Nicklaus Academy program has been nurturing golf champions for over 25 years and we will build on this success in Hong Kong by bringing specifically designed world-class instruction and training facilities to the territory for the first time.”

The Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf will open in late September.
