Two new courses for C&C

US golf architects Coore and Crenshaw have opened their latest creation, the Saguaro course at the We-Ko-Pa resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. We-Ko-Pa, located on the Yavapai Native American reservation, already has one course, the Cholla, designed by Scott Millar.

Meanwhile, Coore and Crenshaw have begun work on another course, at Sugarloaf Mountain in Florida. Perhaps the Sugarloaf property isn't mountainous by the standards of Colorado or New Mexico, but Bill Coore reckons it will make for an excellent course.

"The groundbreaking event gave us a wonderful platform to introduce Sugarloaf Mountain and the vision for the state's only golf course designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw," said Jim Cullis of developer LandMar. The 18-hole golf course will stretch to 7,121 yards, and the development will also include practice facilities and clubhouse.
