Development group Cabot has unveiled plans for its newest resort and residential destination. Cabot Wilds will be built on 2,500 acres of rolling terrain in Nova Scotia, Canada, and will include an 18-hole golf course by Jeff Mingay. Cabot has partnered with Canadian businessman John Bragg and his family – founders of Oxford Frozen Foods – on the development. “We are honoured to work with John Bragg and his family to bring Cabot Wilds to life and shine a light on this beautiful corner of Nova Scotia,” said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot. Mingay’s course will be built in the foothills of the Cobequid Mountains, next to River Philip and traversing rugged highlands and tree-lined valleys. The project includes updating bunkers to improve their playability and aesthetics, redesigning the third and twelfth greens for player safety and improved sightlines, resurfacing fairways and greens, redesigning tee complexes, and updating cart paths. “When we reopen in July 2027, golfers will discover a course that feels distinctly Whistler while offering a more contemporary and welcoming experience,” said Alan Kristmanson, general manager of Whistler Golf Club. “These improvements will elevate the course’s playability, beauty and safety while preserving the character that has made Whistler Golf Club special for more than four decades.” 29
