Based in Scotland, ETL aims to supply an invaluable and essential tool to golf course architects, agronomists, golf superintendents, golf course contractors and suppliers. It issues prompt, accurate and reliable results – ensuring that its clients have as much information about their samples to enable them to make an informed decision. As an A2LA-accredited laboratory since 1997 in the field of geotechnical/putting green materials (Certificate 0903.01), ETL is on the USGA approved list of physical soil testing laboratories. Testing at ETL can provide data to help with selecting materials for new construction projects, identifying problems with rootzones or topdressings, establishing soil nutrient levels, ensuring materials are compatible, choosing suitable bunker sand, determining appropriate construction depths for different materials and ensuring irrigation water is fit for use. Accreditation and constant monitoring of the laboratory’s management and quality system ensures that ETL remains one of the leading testing centres for golf course construction materials in the world.
