Brought up at the Home of Golf, he travels the world capturing the beauty and drama of some of golf’s most iconic courses. In 2013, he became the first commissioned photographer to shoot Prestwick Golf Club in its 162-year history. In 2014, he undertook an extensive photography project in New Zealand and in 2015 he was commissioned by hotel giant Marriott to photograph its UK golf properties. He has also photographed The Kings and Queens courses at Gleneagles, Muirfield, St Andrews and Golf Du Medoc in Bordeaux, as well as Royal Troon, Loch Lomond Golf Club, Carnoustie Golf Links and Dumbarnie Links. Mark’s work appears in various magazines including Golf World, Today’s Golfer, Golf Illustrated and, of course, Golf Course Architecture. In 2023, he was commissioned by Links Magazine to photograph some of the best golf courses in Italy in the run-up to the Ryder Cup. His imagery is also used by national tourism agencies, corporate websites and across various social media platforms. His overriding aim is to create content that captures the essence of the course and excites both the client and the viewer. The result is imagery that is both compelling and effective, with clients describing his work as “outstanding”, “dramatic” and “inspirational”.
