Dutch Red renovation marks completion of 45-hole project at Cragun’s Resort

The renovation of all 45 holes at Cragun’s Resort, Golf and Conference in Brainerd, Minnesota, is complete, following a ceremonial opening of the Dutch Red nine by  PGA Tour Champions player Tom Lehman, whose firm has overseen all golf design work at the club.

Work on the Dutch Red nine was designed to improve playability and enjoyment for golfers of all skill levels. It includes new bunkering, four redesigned greens, and updated green surrounds. The routing remains the same, but significant reshaping and clearing have opened up views across the course.

Notable changes include a near doubling of the size of the fairway on hole three, which also has a new green 50 yards back, with chipping area surrounds. Hole four is now a drivable par four, with bunkers and a cart path relocated and a more subtle new green with multiple pin placement options.

Cragun’s Resort, Golf & Conference will, for the fourth year, host the CRMC Championship, a PGA Tour Americas event, in late August.
