PGA Catalunya opens new state-of-the-art wellness centre

PGA Catalunya in Girona, Spain, has recently opened a €5 million wellness centre ahead of the resort’s Stadium course hosting the European Amateur Team Championship next month.

The new wellness centre includes nine treatment rooms, a gym, yoga studios, as well as thermal and water facilities set among areas that reflect gardens, forest clearings and waterfalls.

The resort has also worked over the winter on its Stadium course, including the remodelling of the par-four tenth hole, new cart paths and improving conditions across the entire course.

David Plana, CEO of PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness, said: “The Stadium course is in the best condition we have ever seen it, and it’s sure to provide a test that’s as enjoyable to play as it is challenging.”

“We’ve invested heavily in the Stadium course with money, time and effort, installing new buggy paths, rerouting the tenth hole and developing an intensive manicuring system – all of which have taken it to another level,” said Dirk Delfortrie, director of golf at PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness.
