Summer 2018 issue of ASGCA’s By Design magazine now available

The Summer 2018 issue of the American Society of Golf Course Architects’ By Design magazine is now available.

The lead story of the Summer 2018 issue focuses on the planning of golf course projects. ASGCA members Rick Robbins, Ray Hearn, John Fought, Chris Wilczynski, Nathan Crace, James Cervone and Drew Rogers share their insights into the work that goes on behind the scenes before construction crews turn up on site.

The Digest section of By Design reports on the ASGCA’s recent Annual Meeting in Texas, and includes a round-up of news on recent projects by ASGCA members.

Elsewhere in the issue Dr. Michael Hurdzan discusses his passion for golf collecting, Marc Whitney speaks with the new ASGCA President Jeff Blume, and Jon Last of Sports & Leisure Research Group shares more findings from his firm’s research into golf facility trends. The issue closes with the usual ‘Five to Finish’ Q&A, this time with ASGCA member Stephen Kay.

Visit the By Design page of the ASGCA website to read online or download a free digital edition of the Summer 2018 issue of By Design, and to sign up for a free subscription.
