Fall 2019 issue of ASGCA’s By Design magazine now available

The Fall 2019 issue of the American Society of Golf Course Architects’ By Design magazine is now available in digital format.

ASGCA members – including Scot Sherman, Steve Smyers and Chris Cochran – share their experiences of designing golf courses for universities, discussing the specific challenges they have encountered with college course projects and they factors they consider most important for success.

Elsewhere in the issue, there is news of ASGCA’s new role at the Golf Industry Show. ASGCA President Jan Bel Jan and her counterparts at GCSAA and GCBAA, Rafael Barajas and Pat Karnick, discuss their organizations’ roles at Golf Industry Show 2020.

The Digest section of By Design includes information about the first ASGCA Winter Meeting, which is to take place in Orlando, Florida, shortly before the Golf Industry Show. It also reports on the news of seven recipients that have been named for the first-ever ASGCA Environmental Excellence Awards, plus there are progress updates on renovation projects from ASGCA members.

Visit the By Design page of the ASGCA website to read online or download a free digital edition of the Fall 2019 issue, and to sign up for a free subscription.
