HB Studios launches Collector’s Edition of The Golf Club game

Canadian firm HB Studios has launched The Golf Club Collector’s Edition, the follow-up to last year’s The Golf Club game.

GCA reported in October 2014 on The Golf Club, which includes a course creator application that helps architects make virtual designs a reality.

The comprehensive ‘Greg Norman Course Designer’ tool enables players to create courses from start to finish, and is also included in the Collector’s Edition. This app has been used by Greg Norman’s design firm to help with the development and design of real-life courses.

The new release also includes a collectible e-book with course design insights from a series of experts, documented stories, and art and photography from famous golf links courses. A large library of already-created golf courses is also available to play.

“We are thrilled to have put this unique collectible together,” said Diane Fornasier, vice president of Marketing at Maximum Games. “Fans of the sport will gain some interesting insight about golf course design with St. Andrews featured as the epitome of legendary courses. In addition, video gamers will get an understanding of how the ‘Greg Norman Course Designer’ evolved from a gaming tool to one that is being used to create some of the most prestigious golf courses in the world.”

The Golf Club Collector’s Edition is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
