Infinite Variety to create new practice facility for Frankfurter Golf Club

Frankfurter Golf Club in Frankurt am Main, Germany, has appointed Infinite Variety Golf Deutschland to redesign its practice facilities.

The club’s course, designed by Harry Colt and John Morrison on a sandy site with inland dunes, originally opened in 1928 and has changed little since then.

Dutch contractor SBA will begin work this month with the demolition of some old driving range structures. Construction of a new building will follow, which will house two large areas for training and teaching as well as a teeing area for 12 golfers. The range will also be extended with new target greens added along with a new purpose-built wedge range.

Infinite Variety – a member of the Clayton, DeVries & Pont partnership – is also creating a state-of-the-art short game area, with construction due to start in March 2022.

“We are delighted to be providing our services to Frankfurter Golf Club,” said Hendrik Hilgert of IVGD. “As with the short game area we recently created for The Addington Golf Club in London, this project further demonstrates our capabilities in the delivery of compelling practice facilities.”
