Jamaican course rejuvenated
Cinnamon Hill has completed improvements to greens and holes at its von Hagge and Baril-designed course in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Five greens on the front nine of the Carribbean course have been enlarged including widening the back half of the first green for greater reward to players attacking the par five with second shots and introducing a challenging front-right pin position steps from the ocean on the par three sixth.
The back of the par four fifth green has been stretched to sea edge so water is in play on three sides of this signature hole, known as Majestic Blue, while sections of the par four seventh green have been extended to enhance tree and bunkers defence.
A number of pin positions from the original 1969 design and subsequent 2001 von Hagge and Baril renovation have also been restored.
A new tee has been built on the back nine providing an extra 30 yards to the par five eighteenth, with a putt for eagle now needing an aggressive line off the tee and a solid second shot tee to carry a ravine protecting the green.
