Royal Golf Center goes Jacobsen

The Ron Kirby-designed Royal Golf Center Copenhagen has signed an exclusive supplier agreement with Svenningsens, Ransomes Jacobsen’s distributor for Scandinavia. The course is located near the Bella Center, Copenhagen’s international convention venue.

Although the 18-hole Championship Course is still under construction – the nine hole Open Course is in grow-in – turf maintenance machinery deliveries have commenced and include Jacobsen greens, tees and fairway mowers, along with two Bernhard grinders, tractors, deep aerators and sprayers. Upon completion, a fleet of 40 of the latest E-Z-GO electric RXV golf cars will also be delivered.

One of the factors influencing the selection of Svenningsens as the preferred supplier was proximity of its depot, just 6km away in Kastrup. The contract includes a full service agreement.

Michael Johansen of Svenningsens said: “The vision of Royal Golf Center Copenhagen has always been crystal clear; it is going to be a facility where the course, facilities and services are first class. We are delighted to have secured this contract, which is the beginning of a long association with the club.”
