Work on the front nine follows the back nine project, which was completed in 2025

European Golf Design (EGD) has renovated the front nine of the Hills course at the Infinitum resort in Tarragona, Spain, completing an 18-hole redesign overseen by Dave Sampson.
The back nine of the Hills reopened in September 2025, which included transforming the eighteenth hole into an island-green-style finale (pictured).
Work on the front nine has included reimagining the opening hole from a left-to-right dogleg into a right-to-left challenge; renovations to the rockface surrounding the eighth green to strengthen its visual appeal; and introducing a new teeing ground on the ninth, as well as redesigning its green.
Sampson has also overseen the regrassing fairways with bermuda 419 and grass around bunkers with zoysia. This has been to reduce water and chemical consumption. Bunker renovations have been completed to enhance playing strategy and how club staff maintain them.
A new short-game practice facility, with dedicated putting and chipping areas, has also been built.
