The Spring 2022 issue of By Design magazine from the American Society of Golf Course Architects is now available in digital format.

For the main feature, Richard Humphreys considers three examples of how effective partnerships between club and architect have been built, and the impact they have had on the design of the club’s golf facilities. Clubs profiled include The Club at Nine Bridges in South Korea, Crystal Mountain Resort in Michigan, and Metedeconk National in New Jersey.

Elsewhere, Jon Last of Sports & Leisure Research Group says that the pandemic-fuelled surge in golf participation has paved the way for a speeding up of new capital projects. This is one of the findings of his latest research into trends at golf facilities, conducted in partnership with ASGCA.

There’s much more too, including images from the 2022 GCSAA Conference & Trade Show, where ASGCA was a Presenting Partner, news on projects in Alabama, Florida and Georgia, and a page from the sketchbook of architect Chris Wilczynski.

By Design is free of charge. To subscribe, visit the By Design page of the ASGCA website, where you can also review the back catalogue of digital editions.
