The Summer 2022 issue of By Design magazine from the American Society of Golf Course Architects is now available in digital format.

For the main feature, By Design assembles a panel of ASGCA’s most experienced members, who reflect on how golf course architects have come together to address some of the industry’s biggest challenges. Bill Amick, Dick Phelps, Lee Schmidt, Don Knott and Jan Bel Jan provide insight into how architects have collaborated with one another, and with other organisations, in relation to environmental issues and golf course accessibility.

Also in this issue, Jeff Brauer provides insight into plans for his new role as Director of Outreach for the ASGCA, a position he has taken following 44 years as a golf course architect.

There’s much more too, including news on the latest work by ASGCA members, a showcase of designs created for ‘The Great Junior Golf Design Challenge of 2022’; and a page from the sketchbook of architect Kevin Atkinson, drafted for his project at Red Rocks Country Club in Colorado.

By Design is free of charge. To subscribe, visit the By Design page of the ASGCA website, where you can also review the entire back catalogue.
