Green renovations set to get underway at The Heritage Club

A green renovation project is about to get underway at the course at The Heritage Club in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

Part of a wider programme of renovations to amenities across the club, the project will see Champion Ultradwarf bermudagrass introduced to the course’s greens.

The work will be carried out by Champion Turf Farms and will see the green structures left in place, thus preserving the contours. The company is using the same green renovation technique as part of work it is doing at the Pinehurst No. 2 course.

The 18-hole course at the Heritage Club was designed by Bob Moore of the JMP Golf Design Group and opened in 2001.

The course will remain open for play on temporary greens during the renovations.
