New hole added at Tranquilo Golf Club as part of renovation work

A series of enhancements have been made to the course at Tranquilo Golf Club at the Four Seasons Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The course first opened in 1992 as Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course, and was originally designed by Tom Fazio.

The course reopened under the Tranquilo moniker in August 2013 and Fazio has returned to oversee the recent renovations.

These include the rebuilding of bunkers and greens across the course, as well as the introduction of a brand new hole.

The Four Seasons Resort was built on land that was formerly the eighteenth hole at Osprey Ridge. The decision was made to add a new medium sized, par three, 163-yard hole that will now be the sixteenth at Tranquilo.

Other parts of the project have seen the introduction of TifEagle turf to the greens, drainage improvements, and new white sand in the bunkers.
