Nine hole addition to debut this autumn at Modry Las in Poland

2014, the resort’s fifth season of operation, is set to be a big year for the Modry Las golf resort in Poland.

The resort’s main course, designed by Gary Player’s practice, will be joined by a new nine hole course in the autumn. More accommodation is also being added, and the first of the planned real estate at the resort, near the city of Choszczno, will make its debut.

The nine hole Orli Las course will be unveiled later this year, before a full opening in 2015. Orli Las, described by the club as a ‘championship course in miniature’, has been routed through a peninsula with a lakeside forest. According to marketing director Pamela Gromadzki, the course has been designed to provide golfers of all abilities with a real golfing test. “Visitors to Modry Las should be under no illusions; Orli Las is far from being a pitch-and-putt course,” she explained. “Orli Las has been created so that learners and advanced golfers can play together with each enjoying the challenge for different reasons. More importantly, it is a wonderful course which is big on challenge and easily fits with your schedule – you can play a round in less than an hour.”

To accompany the launch of Orli Las, the resort will also have new accommodation options with the resort’s three Swiss-style self-catering cottages being joined by six guest suites. “It has always been important for our guests to have a place to sit, relax and enjoy Modry Las,” said Gromadzki. “We introduced the cottages last year and they proved so popular that we decided to expand our accommodation offering by introducing our guest suites.”

In addition, 2014 will also provide a foretaste of the property vision for Modry Las in the form of a two bedroom show home. The resort will offer 150 plots for sale, of which 10 per cent are already taken. “The property element was part of the original master plan and an important element of the vision for Modry Las,” said Gromadzki. “I am particularly excited about the new properties, but what will grab everyone’s attention is Orli Las. It really is a jewel.”
