Two-phase project to commence this July at Potomac Shores

A series of upgrades are set to be made to the course at Potomac Shores Golf Club in Dumfries, Virginia.

Work will be led by Troon’s agronomy team, with the first phase focusing on returfing the current bentgrass fairways with Latitude 36 bermudagrass.

This phase of the work is set to commence in July 2018, with the course temporarily closing before reopening over the US Labor Day weekend, which falls on 1-2 September this year.

The second phase will begin in mid-October and will concentrate of the course’s bunkers. This work is set to be completed by December 2018, with the course remaining open during this time.

The Potomac Shores course was originally designed by Nicklaus Design and opened in 2014.
