BRG Legend Hill Golf Resort opens for play in Vietnam

A new 18-hole golf course has opened for play near Hanoi, Vietnam.

The BRG Legend Hill Golf Resort is Nicklaus Design’s first layout in Vietnam, and the first in the country to adopt a ‘twin green’ design concept.

“Legend Hills is very special and unique in that it has been designed to offer a variety of strategic hole combinations that can be played in one 18-hole round,” said Paul Stringer, president, Asia Pacific, for Nicklaus. “We have created two separate green complexes playing from one primary landing zone on each hole and from our perspective, the twin greens add interest, challenge, and a unique design feature to the golf course.”

The course is located in foothills to the north of Hanoi, in the city’s Soc Song district, and is adjacent to the famous Soc Temple.

Nicklaus Design currently has five courses under development in Vietnam, as well as one in  Cambodia and another in Indonesia. Four Jack Nicklaus Academies are also expected to open up  in Vietnam over the next four years.

The resort’s developer, BRG Group, is a leading finance, banking and golf resorts company, and Legend Hill marks a ‘strategic alliance’ between BRG Group and Nicklaus Design.

“The launch of this new golf course is the realisation of a vision to offer golfers a unique and world-class facility and I am proud to declare that the original vision has been realised and in many ways, it has exceeded all of our expectations,” said Madame Nguyen Thi Nga, chairman of BRG Group.
