He has a knowledge of historical designs, having worked on courses designed by Bendelow, Raynor, and Ross. However, his portfolio has expanded by revitalising courses designed by the modern masters such as Robert Trent Jones and Dick Wilson. Michael Benkusky has become a leader in golf course architecture and currently serves as president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects.
